The FDA or wo ever is in charge of policing drugs should take killer drugs
of the market. All beta blockers, all angiotensin 2 recepteror blockers,
they cause liver failure among other serioous side effects. Also kidney failure. And death. Why can't drug manufacters make drugs for high blood
pressure to help pople get well instead of killing them.

The slow breathing relaxing tapes work well in reducing tension and anxiety-based hypertension ... but if the causes of your high blood pressure is due to insufficient exercise and/or poor diet its effects won't be great enough or long-lasting.

140/90 is on the high side but but not alarmingly so. Best wishes with diet and exercise programme.

To be honest, I bought a set of deep-breathing audio tape but it doesn't have significant effect on my blood pressure.
I would says my B.P problem is genetics. I am very conscious with my diet nowadays. infact, i started drinking vegetable juice daily and exercise aerobicly for 20-30 minutes, 3-4 times a week.
The results is minimal. Previously I am on 10mg of hypertenstion control pills. While having pills, it's 130/90. When I remove halve of the pills to 5mg, the B.P shoot up to 150/100+. After 6 months of constant diet, exercise, healthy food, is now 140+/90+.

My pressure one weekend was 98 / and 96 / . Normally it is between 100 / 60 and 115 / 70. When my pressure is low I am tired. When my pulse is fast (100+) I am winded. I am on atenolol.

Your systolic (higher number) is on the high side but not critical as far as I measure high blood pressure. I'd concentrate on lowering it by 20 to 30 points. With regards to your question - do I have a problem? - Your doctor would be in a better position to answer that.

Hi, Simon. I have used a ReSPERATE for a few years now. On the advice of an official advisor in America I use it twice a day for 15 minutes. Yes, it does lower B.P. somewhat but I find the effects don't last.
I am wanting some advice on Alistrol, which you have been investigating, I believe. I tried it for a month and yes, it did bring the B.P. down quite well but made me feel not good at all so I gave up on it. I want to know if you have any feedback on this and whether these symptoms are likely to disappear. It seems with me that anything that works seems to have a bad effect. Is this just me or do other people have these problems? There is nothing more I can do regarding lifestyle and diet except work on the belly fat which is taking a long time! When my Dr. told me I might as well not bother taking prescription drugs any more because they made me feel bad and didn't work anyway, he told me there was nothing I can do. I have always disputed this and will continue to do so! I would certainly appreciate your comments on Alistrol. I am already on your radar, sincerely, Cris
